Dunfermline are the tenth club of Kallum Higginbotham's professional career, which began ten summers ago aged 18 when he signed for Rochdale, making 38 appearances in his first season. His time in Scotland began in 2010 when he joined Falkirk. Possibly the best period of his career was between 2013-2015 when he was with Partick Thistle, with the video below showing some of the goals he scored during that period, plus one goal from his time at Motherwell.

A player who could be classed as a maverick, although with a strong work ethic that many similarly talented players lack, Kallum has become a fans' favourite at East End Park, overcoming his double penalty miss against Ayr United earlier this season to top the club's goal assist chart and contribute 6 goals, with his penalty against Hibs at the weekend the most recent. In an era of media trained robots, Kallum is a player and a character who does not hide his emotions, and who also appreciates the supporters, usually leading the applause from players to fans, particularly at away games. We feel he is one of us, and even when not in the best of form, he never hides and is always willing to look for the ball to make things happen. This type of player is a dying breed, and Kallum is one of the few players around who will try something different. He has spoken about how happy he is at East End Park, and most Pars fans will hope he is offered and will agree a new contract for next season and beyond.
