It was a frustrating game. I thought the Pars played well for most of he game and actually had their best spell in the last 20 minutes. Spirit and team work were there in abundance. We have had pretty poor luck this year. Constant injuries and some really dodgy refereeing have contributed in big ways to the points garnered as have some shockingly poor penalties. I would say Higgy's second penalty was decent and the goalie was a but lucky it didn't go in but the rest were poor. In the Ayr game the sending off was ridiculous especially since the Ayr lad who chopped McMullan down didn't even get booked. In the Dundee United game no player was sent off despite 3 penalties. These things do matter. I think Johnson is realising the team isn't as good as he thought but it is getting better at keeping the opposition out. So he is adjusting it perhaps a bit slower than he should have. McCabe gad a good game and given he has been rank sometimes I think he deserves some praise. We really need someone who can score goals with his eyes shut and even Nicky Clark isn't that person. Many games might come down to 1-0 with one or two chances we need to win those like the one at Paisley. Unfortunately we are unlikely to be able to get anyone of real class in during January so we need to make this squad work. We need to keep Herron and Farid. Oh how I wish Faissal was still there he would have made a big difference. I also don't understand why McMullan has been left out as he can make things happen. What has happened to Joe too?
